The Matthews lab have been busy travelling in February and March. Andrea, Elizabeth, Maria, and Alex had the opportunity to share their work at the 4th Annual Canadian National Perinatal Research Meeting in Montebello, Quebec (February 14-17th), as well as the 64th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Society for Reproductive Investigation in Orlando, Florida (March 15th-18th).
In the coming weeks, these same students will have the opportunity to present this work at the Annual Research Days for the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Physiology as well (joined by Susmita and Andrada, who will be presenting their first posters). The project titles are:
Predictive Modelling of Behaviour Through Gene Expression (Andrea Constantinof)
Fetal Glucocorticoid Exposure Modifies the Blood Brain Barrier After Birth (Elizabeth Eng)
Placental-Derived Serotonin in Highly Seasonal Pregnant Women (Maria Sqapi)
A Single Course of Prenatal Glucocorticoid Programs the Stress Response and Pituitary Gene Expression Across Two Generations (Alex Mouratidis)
